Happy International Women's Day. SGWC- We Give to Gain
When asked to describe a woman in one word, Mme. Lucia, the Regional Delegate for Women’s Empowerment and the Family in the South West Region, paused and replied, "Globe." She explained that no single label fits, as a woman is the true embodiment of everything. Mme. Lucia is a powerful advocate for ambition, dynamism, and self-assertion, consistently reminding women that their only limits are the ones they set for themselves. As a leading voice for empowerment in the region, she is using this year’s International Women's Day 2026 to champion a vital call to action: securing Rights, Justice, and tangible progress for all women and girls across Cameroon.

“See a woman who is hardworking and skilled in her work? She will serve kings, and not stay in the shadows.”
Being a woman of impact takes more than just a wish; it takes patience, self-discipline, and a deep commitment to bettering yourself every single day. Whether you are a student, a creative, or a business owner, your greatest asset is your focus. Life will throw challenges your way, but if you stay focused, you will prevail. For over 20 years, I have put this into practice in the beverage and events industry. My business does more than just sell drinks at wholesale prices. We provide a full-service solution—we bring the canopies, the chairs, and the tables directly to you. We take the stress of transportation off your shoulders so you can focus on your celebration. To every girl and woman with a dream: being diligent isn't just a good habit—it is your ticket to the top.

If we were to count every time a woman has had to fight to be heard, accepted, or simply acknowledged, it would be undeniable that a woman is, by nature, a warrior. Because of the unique pressures of balancing professional ambition with the natural call to nurture, women cannot afford to be subtle; they must be bold. Unlike their male counterparts, women often have to work twice as hard to measure up to societal expectations while holding together the fabric of their homes and communities. Mme Vanessa—the Head of Division for Social, Economic, and Cultural Affairs in the South West Region—is championing this resilience. In honor of her role, she is calling for Rights, Justice, and Action for every woman and girl across Cameroon. Her message is simple: it is time to stop asking for a seat at the table and start demanding the justice and recognition that every woman has already earned through her tireless strength.

When asked what a woman represents, the first word that comes to mind for our Secretary General, Ms. Becky of Beauty by Mamz, is "Flowers." She draws a beautiful connection to the cherished African tradition where a groom’s family approaches a household saying, "We have seen a beautiful flower in your compound, and we desire to harvest it." This metaphor captures the essence of a woman’s worth: she is a masterpiece of nature, "beautifully designed to reflect and radiate" the elegance of her Creator. Just as a flower requires a "delicate touch," Ms. Becky believes that God invested a unique softness and resilience in women that allows them to flourish in any environment. At SICIA, we see our women not just as decorative, but as life-giving—bringing fragrance, growth, and vibrancy to every project we touch. By honoring this "delicate strength," we ensure that every "flower" in our organization has the support it needs to bloom fully and transform the world around it.
