GLEE Girls Conference
Across Cameroon, young girls continue to face rising rates of femicide, gender-based violence, and peer pressure — threats that too often go unaddressed until it's too late. GLEE exists to change that story in Mutengene: to ensure a safe space where girls are not only free to aspire, but protected, heard, and guided toward achieving their goals.
On Friday, July 31st, 2026, GLEE brought 100 young girls together at the CBC Hall, Mutengene, to put that mission into action. From holiday activities to skills empowerment sessions and open educational discussions, girls and young women aged 10 to 25 engaged with issues that speak directly to their lives and their futures.
As a supporter of GLEE, we stand behind Mme Melanie Puemedjie's words: "No matter the matter, I matter."
